# Limits

> Batch size and request rates.

| Limit | Value |

| Claims per request | 1 to 100 |
| Requests per API key | 60 per minute |
| Requests per IP address | 120 per minute |

Both endpoints count toward the rate limits.

## When you hit a rate limit

You get `429` with a `Retry-After` header (also in the body as `retry_after`), in seconds:

Wait that long, then retry. Retrying a send is safe: claims you already sent come back with `created: false`.

## Sending many claims

Send them in batches of up to 100. 60 requests a minute is up to 6,000 claims a minute per key.
