# Account security

> Sign-in options, two-step verification, passkeys, and your data.

Your own account settings are under your name, in the bottom-left menu → **Settings**.

## Signing in

Sign in at [denialbase.com/login](https://denialbase.com/login) or your practice's own sign-in page, with any
method your practice allows:

* **Password**: at least 12 characters with upper- and lowercase letters, a number and a symbol. After 5 failed
attempts the account locks for an hour.
* **Google**, for accounts that already exist or have an invitation.
* **Magic link**: a one-time sign-in link by email.
* **Passkey**: your device's fingerprint, face or PIN.
* **Single sign-on**, if your practice connected its identity provider.

## Two-step verification

Add a code from an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) at every sign-in. You get backup codes
for when you don't have your phone; you can generate new ones any time. Your practice can require two-step
verification for everyone.

## Passkeys

Add a passkey to sign in without a password, from each device you use.

## Your data

* **Export**: download a copy of your account data from Settings.
* **Delete your account**: request deletion from Settings. It happens after 30 days, and you can cancel until then.
