# Cases and to do

> Follow every appeal, and do your part when we need you.

## Home

Your practice's Home shows:

* **Recovered for you**: what payers paid, what's in appeal and what hasn't started, across your reports and cases.
* **We need you**: the first items from To do, with dates.
* **Recent**: payer answers, filed appeals and delivered reports from the last 14 days.

## Cases

**Cases** lists every claim our team is appealing: patient initials, payer, amount, deadline and status.

| Status | Means |
| - | - |
| Waiting for patient signature | The patient hasn't signed the authorization yet. |
| Our team is reviewing | Our team is preparing the appeal. |
| Appeal in progress | The appeal is underway. |
| Resolved | The payer answered. |
| Closed | The case ended. |

Open a case for its timeline in plain words: denied, we're appealing, the patient signed, the appeal was filed,
the payer's answer, recovered. The next step is highlighted, with its date.

## To do

**To do** lists what we need from you, each with a line on why and a date. The menu shows the count.

| Item | What to do |
| - | - |
| Sign the business associate agreement | Sign it in Settings → Agreements. |
| Sign the engagement | Sign it in Settings → Agreements. |
| Invite patients | Introduce us to patients whose signature we need. See [Patients](/guides/patients). |
| Send us your claims | We opened a report and are waiting for your files. |
| Send a clearer copy | We couldn't read part of a file you sent in the last 30 days. |
| Send more information | Claims in your latest report need details only you have. |

Viewers see the list; owners and admins act on it.
